Thrice (1985) – A Clever Dice Challenge for Two
Thrice (1985) – A Clever Dice Challenge for Two
Thrice is a quick-thinking two-player game where each player controls three dice of their chosen colour. The goal is simple but satisfying – be the first to line up your three dice in a row, all next to each other, in any number order. Sounds easy? It’s not. Each die can only move the number of spaces showing on its top face, so every roll and move counts. The board might be small, but the challenge is big.
How to Play
Each player chooses a colour and rolls their three dice until they have one high, one middle, and one low number. Those dice are placed face-up on the board in their designated starting spaces. From then on, the number on each die decides how far it can move. Dice can move in any direction, jump over other dice, but can’t land on or remove another die. The aim is to get all three of your dice into a straight line – no curves or corners – and be the first to do it. Think ahead, block your opponent, and strike when the time is right.
