Location & Set-Up

“I don’t need a fancy shop to get started — just a space that works, and a vision that’s clear.”

When I first pictured GamesUnite, I saw shelves of board games, a cosy space, people chatting, playing, laughing. But right now, I’m starting where I can — from home, online, and in the community.

This section of the plan is where I think about space. Not just physical space, but headspace too. What do I need around me to make this business feel real, even before I’ve got a shop front?

At the moment, my home is my base. I’ve been organising, labelling, finding clever storage solutions and making sure everything’s clean and ready to hire. It’s not perfect, but it’s enough for now.

In the future, I’d love to explore:

– A pop-up stall or market table
– A small unit or community space to run from
– A van setup for mobile game nights
– A permanent games hub in town where people can rent, play, and connect

But I’m not rushing it. I’m building from the ground up, one game, one shelf, one moment at a time.

Where I start isn’t where I’ll finish — and that’s what keeps me going.
