Shark Chase (1989) – The Motorised Underwater Race and Chase Game
Shark Chase is a brilliant little action game from 1989 where up to four fish try to outswim a motorised shark! It’s silly, fast-paced fun for kids (and grown-ups) who love a bit of chaos in their games. As the shark creeps closer and closer around the board, it’s a race to stay one step ahead. If your fish is the last one left uneaten, you win! But you’ll need quick hands, a bit of luck, and a good bit of nerve to make it out alive. It's one of those games that turns your lounge into a giggle-fest every time.
How to Play:
Each player picks a colourful fish pawn and places it at the start line. The motorised shark is then attached to the board and switched on – it slowly chases down the fish as you roll dice to move them around the track. Roll your colour and move – but watch out! If the shark catches up and swallows your fish, you’re out. The last uneaten fish left on the board is the winner. There’s even an advanced version where you have to call out colours and dodge faster!
Why Rent:
Games like this are perfect for family nights or birthday parties – loads of laughs, quick to set up, and always a hit with kids. Shark Chase is one of those games that gets everyone shouting and cheering, and the motorised shark is just a joy to watch. It’s retro, it’s fun, and it’ll definitely be remembered. Try it out before you go hunting one down for yourself.
