Reversi (1973) – Classic Two-Player Strategy Game

Reversi is a fast-paced and tactical two-player game of capture and strategy. Each player takes control of 32 double-sided discs—red on one side, blue on the other—with the goal of flipping as many of your opponent's pieces as possible. The game ends when the board is full, and the player with the most discs showing their colour wins. It’s simple, clever, and always more competitive than you expect.

How to Play

Start by placing one red and one blue piece each on the four central star-marked spaces. From there, take turns placing your coloured piece next to an opponent’s, aiming to form a straight, unbroken line between two of your own. This can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal. Every opponent piece caught in between is flipped to your colour. A single move can turn the tide of the board, so plan ahead and watch carefully—one well-placed piece can reverse the whole game.

Each disc stays on the board once placed but can be flipped again and again as the battle for control continues. The game ends when all 64 spaces are filled. The winner is the player who has the most discs showing their colour.
