Logus (1971) – A Fast-Paced Word Race Game
Logus is a vintage word-building game with a twist – you’ll need speed, skill and a steady hand to win. Using sliding tiles and challenge cards, it’s a race to create the correct word before your opponent does. Each word must fit into a row or column on your Logus board, but there’s a catch – not all letters are included. With time pressure and limited letters, this game pushes your brain and your reflexes. Perfect for fans of word games who like a bit of a challenge.
How to Play
Each player gets a Logus board with sliding tiles and takes turns flipping over a word card. Once revealed, both players race to spell out the word on their board, using the letter tiles and spaces provided. If you finish first, shout “LOGUS!” to stop the round. If your word is spelled correctly and fits the rules, you keep the card. If not, it’s back to the board. Some cards give clues or themes, others just the word itself. Every card has a point value and the player with the most points at the end wins.
Why Rent
Logus is a true retro classic that brings out both the competitor and the word lover in you. It’s fast, fun, and slightly frantic – and it’s ideal for pairs or teams. Renting it is a brilliant way to introduce something different to your next game night. Whether you're a Scrabble champ or just love testing your word skills under pressure, this one’s worth a try.
