Knock’em Out (1980) – Competitive Two-Player Strategy Game

Knock’em Out (1980) – Competitive Two-Player Strategy Game

Knock’em Out is a fast-paced two-player strategy game from 1980 that’s all about trapping and knocking out your opponent’s pieces. Using skill and careful planning, you’ll place your stoppers into the grid, aiming to trap your opponent’s stoppers between your own. Every trapped piece gets pushed right out of the board — a satisfying move that can turn the game around in seconds. The winner is the player with the most stoppers showing on their side of the grid at the end.

How to Play
Place the grid between you and your opponent, with each player starting with three stoppers already in the frame. Players take turns placing a stopper into any empty hole next to an existing stopper. Your stoppers are the white circles on your side; your opponent’s are the dark ones. If you manage to place your stopper so it traps your opponent’s in a straight line between two of yours, you knock it out and replace it with your own. You can trap in multiple directions at once, making for some clever and surprising plays. The game continues until all positions are filled, and the player with the most stoppers on their side of the grid wins.

Why Rent
Knock’em Out is a brilliant blend of simplicity and strategy, easy to learn but full of tactical depth.
