Energizer (1984) – Strategic Abstract Game for Two Players
Energizer is a brilliant little two-player strategy game where energy control is everything. You'll each have large and small pieces on the board, and the aim is simple—line up three of each. But the real twist? Your big pieces only move if your small ones are giving them energy. It's a battle of logic, movement, and planning ahead!
How to Play:
Each player takes a set of red or blue pieces—three large ones and three small ones. The big ones go on the main squares, the small ones on the intersections. You take turns moving either a big or small piece. The goal is to get three big pieces in a row and three small pieces in a row, either across, down, or diagonally.
Big pieces can only move if they’re powered by nearby small pieces. Each small piece next to a large one provides it with an Energy Unit, and you’ll need at least one to move. Small pieces work the same way, only they get energy from the large pieces. So every move counts, and every piece matters.
Why Rent:
This game is a real hidden gem—perfect for two players who love a clever challenge. It’s compact, unique, and makes you think in a totally different way. Whether you're into chess-style planning or just want something new to test your brain, Energizer is a great pick. Renting it is ideal if you want to try it out or relive a classic from the ‘80s.
