All Ashore (1980) – A Classic Game of Boats, Luck and Logic

All Ashore is a fun little strategy game from 1980 that mixes luck with a bit of sneakiness. The aim is simple – be the first player to get all three of your little men safely ashore. But with tangled cords, hidden figures, and boats being pulled out one by one, it’s never that straightforward. It's got a unique setup with a central island, hanging boats, and secret figure positions – making every round unpredictable and full of giggles.

How to Play
Each player picks three coloured figures and places them secretly in separate boats. Taking turns, you roll the dice and move your men clockwise around the boats. Then you pull a boat to see who’s inside! If it’s your man, he moves to the island. If it’s someone else’s, the figures swap or the boat gets reset. You’ll need a bit of memory, a bit of strategy, and a lot of luck. The first to get all three of their men ashore wins the game!

Why Rent This Game
It’s got a brilliant little setup you won’t find in modern games – cords, balls, and a central cone that make it feel different from anything else. It’s great for families and for anyone who loves that classic 80s board game feel. Whether you're playing with kids or having a nostalgic night in, All Ashore is a great way to bring everyone together for a bit of surprise-filled fun.
